The guy in the video talk about the main markdowns in Obsidian, so you don´t need to worry about formatting but for linking your thought they were:

-Links: is created with double brackets: [[some note here]]

-tags: using the symbol #

-italic: I don´t get it this one

- bold: using a double asterisk, ex. **text here**

- list: are automatic when you start with the symbol (-)

- headers: you use one to three # symbols #title1 ##subtitle2 ###subtitle3
